Canada Pharmacy − Legitimate Pharmacies Don’t Offer Controlled Substances

There are thousands of online Canada pharmacy resources. Most of them are legitimate websites that work with the medications they are allowed to sell. Others are less professional and just looking to get the medication sold so that they can make a quick buck. There are a lot of debates about the legalities of certain drugs and whether they can be imported from other countries, but the bottom line is that legitimate online pharmacy resources do NOT sell or condone the sale of controlled substances that are known to be highly regulated in the U.S.

The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in the U.S. is responsible for monitoring a list of controlled substances, as per the Controlled Substances Act of 1970. This list has been growing over the years as modern medicine has created many more effective, yet highly addictive drugs. Medications like Xanax, Valium, Adderall, Ativan, Oxycontin, and others are supposedly available online through many ‘pharmacy’ services with and without prescriptions, but this is a clear violation of the DEA regulations. According to the Act, any medications that are listed on the controlled substances list must only be obtained from a legal and registered U.S. pharmacy. Additionally, importing of these controlled substances is banned unless the importer (customer, in this case) is registered with the DEA and in compliance with laws and regulations.

Since it’s not likely that the average consumer is DEA-approved to buy anything, it’s best just to stay away from these medications online. Legally, people can buy a 90-day supply of many prescription medications with a valid prescription from Canada pharmacy services as well as other international pharmacy websites. However, the controlled substances are not included in this allowance, and people need to avoid the urge to buy them online for risk of committing a federal crime.

Even if you have no idea that buying a medication is illegal, you can still get in big trouble for importing it if it is on the controlled substances list from the DEA. Legitimate pharmacies won’t push these medications and probably won’t even offer them at all for U.S. customers. Of course, if you find a Canada pharmacy resource that does offer them to other customers, you will likely see that you are prohibited from shipping them to the U.S. due to the regulations that are in place. Getting Canadian drugs online is a great way to save money, but forget about ordering dangerous drugs that have made the controlled substances list, because even if you can find the resources it is still against the law.
